b) Achievements

From the student teacher’s perspective, all students who attended to all or most of the live speaking sessions have achieved so much along the classes. Students had many opportunities to approach and learn new or different things regarding the topics of the classes.

In a personal perspective, the students also realized how important is having a dynamic and fluent session considering the learners’ needs and characteristics. It could also be thought that they had many chances of participating in speaking sessions in which they felt comfortable with and where they could face dynamic presentation activities.

Another important accomplishment that the teacher was able to achieve during the class was regarding pronunciation. There were many times in which the teacher had to tell them how to pronounce a word properly, however the outcomes were so good considering that students were able to repeat and pronounce the words in the correct way as soon as the words were fixed.

It is important to mention that the students were able to use all the opportunities they had to learn and practice about the usage and structure of the different topics of the class. They did it great regarding grammar and usage of language, and they also went through each step in order to be able to use what they were learning during their spoken language to talk about possible situations that they might face as members of a society, teachers, learners or examinees.

Certainly, one of the most significant achievements that students had along the speaking sessions was related to the recommendations and knowledge they got about most International Speaking Tests. The students learned something new that they were not able to do before the class so they could have a good speaking performance and they could also improve a lot along the classes, being able to speak using complete, complex and compound sentences in the form of good descriptions, detailed examples and clear explanations. In addition, students also achieved the basic knowledge and speaking skills to be able to use linking words, modal verbs and other expressions to compare and speculate about pictures.

In conclusion, there is a clear evidence of the students’ evolution along the classes regarding aspects of the speaking skill such as fluency and coherence, speaking grammatical accuracy and lexical resources, and proper pronunciation considering aspects like phonetic and intonation.
